Phi Sigma
Our Partner: Phi Sigma
[Placeholder] BSSA proudly partners with the Illinois State University chapter of Phi Sigma, the national honor society for the biological sciences. We're two separate organizations that work closely together to support biology students at ISU.
Two Organizations, One Community
BSSA
[Placeholder] The Biological Sciences Student Association is open to any student interested in biology — no GPA or application required. Join anytime for events, committees, service, and community.
Phi Sigma (ISU Chapter)
[Placeholder] Phi Sigma is a national biological sciences honor society. Membership is by induction and recognizes students who meet its academic and research standards. It's a distinction you can work toward — not a requirement to be part of BSSA.
How We Work Together
- [Placeholder] Co-hosting guest speakers and research talks.
- [Placeholder] Sharing service and outreach events.
- [Placeholder] Connecting BSSA members with Phi Sigma induction when they're eligible.
